Psalm 25:4-9
4 May all those who act unjustly over nothing be confounded. O Lord, demonstrate your ways to me, and teach me your paths. 5 Direct me in your truth, and teach me. For you are God, my Saviour, and I remain with you all day long. 6 O Lord, remember your compassion and your mercies, which are from ages past. 7 Do not remember the offenses of my youth and my ignorances. Remember me according to your mercy, because of your goodness, O Lord. 8 The Lord is sweet and righteous. Because of this, he will grant a law to those who fall short in the way. 9 He will direct the mild in judgment. He will teach the meek his ways. Jonah 3:1-5, 10 1 And the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time, saying: 2 Rise, and go to Nineveh, the great city. And preach in it the preaching that I say to you. 3 And Jonah rose, and he went to Nineveh in accordance with the word of the Lord. And Nineveh was a great city of three days' journey. 4 And Jonah began to enter into the city one day's journey. And he cried out and said, "Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed." 5 And the men of Nineveh believed in God. And they proclaimed a fast, and they put on sackcloth, from the greatest all the way to the least. 10 And God saw their works, that they had been converted from their evil way. And God took pity on them, concerning the harm that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it.
