Psalm 105:36-43
36 And he struck all the first-born in their land, the first-fruits of all their labor. 37 And he led them out with silver and gold, and there was not an infirm one among their tribes. 38 Egypt was joyful at their departure, for the fear of them lay heavy upon them. 39 He spread a cloud for their protection, and a fire, to give them light through the night. 40 They petitioned, and the quail came; and he satisfied them with the bread of heaven. 41 He ruptured the rock and the waters flowed: rivers gushed in the dry land. 42 For he had called to mind his holy word, which he kept near to his servant Abraham. 43 And he led forth his people in exultation, and his elect in rejoicing. Wisdom 18:14-16; 19:6-9 14 For, when a quiet silence surrounded all things, and when the course of the night was passing the middle of its journey, 15 your almighty word from heaven leapt down from your royal throne, as a fierce warrior in the midst of the land of extermination, 16 as a sharp sword carrying your unfeigned authority, and standing, filled all things with death, and, standing on the earth, reached all the way up to touch heaven. 6 For every creature according to its kind was fashioned again as from the beginning, diligently serving your teachings, so that your children would be preserved unharmed. 7 For a cloud overshadowed their camp, and where water was before, dry land appeared, and in the Red Sea, a way without hindrance, and out of the great deep, a level field sprung up, 8 through which the whole nation passed, protected by your hand, seeing your miracles and wonders. 9 For they consumed food like horses, and they leapt about like lambs, praising you, O Lord, who had freed them.
